Zaha Hadid: Words by Eva Jiřičná

This short film tours some of Zaha Hadid’s key works, in Italy, Germany and the UK, and features her close friend, fellow architect Eva Jiřičná, sharing her memories of their time together, of Hadid's early struggles for understanding and her eventual acceptance.

Walmer Yard: Architecture for the Senses

Designed by Peter Salter, with associate designer Fenella Collingridge, Walmer Yard is a series of four homes in Notting Hill, London. This short film is an exploration of the incredible light that passes through the buildings at various times of the day, and of the wider sensory experience they offer.

Zaha: An Architectural Legacy

Made one year after Zaha Hadid died, this film takes a look at her career, and legacy, through five stages which signal significant progressions in her work. The film begins with her drawings and paintings while at the Architectural Association, then captures her first built project at Vitra, moving on to the Stirling Prize-winning MAXXI, which secured her place in the architectural canon, and the London Aquatics Centre – a building which made her known to the public – and finishes with the Maths Gallery at the Science Museum, completed just months after her death.

The RIBA Stirling Prize at 21

The Stirling Prize at 21 is a 30-minute feature about the history of Britain’s top architecture award. The film revisits previous winning buildings to see how they look now, and features exclusive interviews with Richard Rogers, and Sheila O’Donnell and John Tuomey. The documentary also includes footage of the AJ’s alternative Stirling Prize judging panel as they visit the 2016 shortlist.
